Press Release Body: In the process of day to day living, we often forget the sacrifices our Troops make to protect our freedom here in the United States of America. We take for granted the pleasantries and luxuries we enjoy and at times complain about. Being able to pick up the phone and call a loved one is a pleasantry our Troops don't have. Our troops have neither the pleasantries nor the luxuries while defending our country. We need to remember the countless men and women who stand in harm\'s way every minute of every day.
When asked, our Troops ask for little in return; just our support and prayers. That\'s not much to ask, is it?
Our Troops need to know that we appreciate all their efforts and that we support them 110%. Many of us may not agree with our involvement in the war, but our Troops need to know that we will continue to support them until each and every one of them is back home.
Please remember that every day in countless homes, all across America daughters are missing their fathers, sons are missing their mothers, wives are mourning the loss of their husbands and a soldier pays the ultimate price - for Freedom.
What can we do?
Well, for those who haven\'t received the memo, Fridays are designated for showing support for our Troops by wearing red shirts. Please, tell everyone you know. Send an email, post a memo, or call a friend and tell them to wear a red shirt in support of the Troops on Fridays, every Friday! This simple act show solidarity and speaks volumes in a quiet dignified and respectful way that we support our troops. From sea to shining sea, we need to show our troops that we support them. Ebony\'s Treasures would like to help make this a national event every Friday, so pass the word.
The second part of the request from our Troops is prayer. Prayer is something we can all do. Prayer is so powerful! Jesus said to his Disciples:
Mark 11:21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
Mark 11:22 And Jesus answering him, Have faith in God.
Mark 11:23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Mark 11:24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:25 And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.
Mark 11:26 But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
So, let us pray for our Troops constantly and without ceasing. Pray for the families who have lost a loved one in the war. Pray for the families who have a loved one still serving in the war. Pray for our economy, our Nation\'s Leaders and for one another.
While wearing your red shirts for support of our Troops, let\'s send up the biggest prayer ever, all day long! Gather with your friends, family, co-workers and church family and send up a prayer for our Troops! America continues to be the land of the free and the home of the brave because of the countless men and women in our armed services who dedicate their lives to defending this country. Let them know that you appreciate them. Show your support!
